Jeremy is a kayaker and skier from Denver, CO. Right around Thanksgiving time he nearly severed his hand while using a band saw. He feels lucky to be alive but not so lucky about his prospects for kayaking or facing down some big medical bills (pushing $120k). He has sold nearly all his possessions just to get started on these bills but he really needs our help. You can read his posting on mountainbuzz where I first learned about this humble young man.

And lets have a look at his arm. Think about all the things you do with your hand. The docs think he will have only 10% sensation and 20% range of motion. He has to go back in for more surgeries soon which is always risky.

All in all Jeremy is incredibly thankful since things could almost always be worse, but lets face it – things are pretty bad for Jeremy so do what you can and donate some money. Besides medical bills he need money for PT and gas money to drive to work.

One other thing Jeremy is facing is a bit of depression from all this. It made him pretty happy to hear I was volunteering to put his story up so he can get some help. He didn’t ask for any help financially but we know he needs it. Again do what you can and post your supporting comments here. I know it will make a difference.
