We can make a difference
So what is Extreme Care about? For starters, its about helping people who are facing big medical bills because they are uninsured or under-insured. This is all to common in our ‘prosperous’ nation. At least one out of ten Americans is out of work and more are under-employed. Insurance becomes a luxury. Too bad we don’t live in a country where you don’t have to worry about catastrophic medical bills, but we do so here I am at 3 A.M. starting this blog to help a guy I don’t even know personally.
The EC focus is on outdoor athletes since that is just what we do. Many people I know have been injured or killed doing the sports we love so much. Sometimes they get hurt doing mundane things and then are unable to participate in their favorite activities like they used to. Either way it sucks to not be able to ride a bike, work, put on your boots and on top of it all owe $50,000 in medical bills.
So this is where you come in. Please consider donating any amount. Almost all the money goes directly to the individuals you see listed here but we are also looking to build up the fund for future recipients and staffing.
